Frogwares is looking for a Lighting Artist.
What are you working on?

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Create and implement dynamic, realistic, and stylized lighting solutions within Unreal Engine;
Enhance the narrative and emotional impact of environments through lighting, ensuring consistency with the overall artistic direction;
Work closely with the technical art team to optimize lighting setups for performance without compromising visual quality;
Work with level designers, environment artists, and the art director to ensure lighting complements the overall game design and visual style;
Identify and resolve lighting issues that may arise during production, including addressing performance bottlenecks;
Develop and maintain tools and workflows that streamline the lighting process;
Create and maintain documentation for lighting guidelines and implementation techniques;
What kind of professional are we looking for?
2+ years of experience as a Lighting Artist;
Proficiency in Unreal Engine's lighting tools and techniques, including dynamic lighting, volumetric effects, and post-processing;
Strong understanding of light, color, shadow, and their impact on mood and storytelling;
Ability to work with precision, ensuring consistency across all lighting elements in a scene;
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team;
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex lighting issues in a real-time environment;
A portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates a keen eye for detail and the ability to use light, shadow, and color to create a variety of tones and moods;
Strong art fundamentals and eye for composition;
Strong level of English.
Will be a plus:
Experience with other game engines or rendering software;
Familiarity with scripting or blueprints within Unreal Engine.
